The second exhibition (Christian Louboutin was the first) of the day was Damien Hirst. Now this is one that I was too sure of, but went along and found myself thinking a lot. I find Hirst to be an artist that makes me think not only about what I am looking at but the deeper meaning and what his art translates to.
That aside I took a few (sneaky) photos to share.
If you would like to see the full exhibition, it is on at the Tate till September.

Christian Louboutin Exhibition
As part of mine and Chris' day trip to London we visited a number of exhibitions, the first one was my choice and one that I was really looking forward to seeing.
The 20 year anniversary of Christian Louboutin was celebrated with a showcase of the designs and inspirations over the years. The exhibition took us on a magical journey of an amazing mind of a man who wasn't and isn't scared of pushing the boundaries.
I couldn't take pictures while inside, but I managed to sneak a few.
Silhouettes of shoes were projected onto the walls.
I would highly recommend this exhibition and even though Chris didn't think he would enjoy it (too many shoes for his liking) but he really enjoyed the theory and the amazing 3D projection.

Day trip to London
On Friday, Chris and I spent the day in a very moody looking London (this was down to the weather, not the people). It was great to get into the city and not have to see a client, the day was ours to do as we pleased and we had planned a full packed day.
These are a few photos from the day, we did a lot of walking which meant I took some photos, most of them random and of buildings. I blame my Dad and Brother who are the bricklayers in the family and love to stop and look at the brickwork on buildings, I think it has rubbed off on me.
We spent the day visiting exhibitions, eating some very yummy food and seeing a few friends. I will post photos of the exhibitions and dinner in septate posts.
When we returned home we found Bambi and Lola asleep on the sofa, we lit a fire and curled up with them, talking about our best bits of the day.
My photos have been taken using Instagram, my user name is @thekeypieces if you would like to follow.

Bookcases
One of my favourite images (this is one of many) I find myself pinning is bookcases. I love finding new ideas and getting some inspiration on how other people display their books and how I would be able to adapt them for my home.
These are some of the images I love and all I need now is the room and the books to display...
