Green fingers

So, this weekend the Boy and I put our green fingers on and set to work on the garden.

Even though everything we look after and grow is in pots (as mentioned here) we still need to cut the grass and weed the flower beds. It is amazing how fast weeds grow and how many different types there are. But we got there in the end and after a fun afternoon, I started to pay more attention to the plants in the pots.

I was surprised to see that our tomatoes and strawberry's (first and second photo) have started to grow and I could resist trying some. They are some yummy and fresh. Granted we won't be able to live off of what we grow in the garden, but for a first attempt it is good going.

We also have a small herb garden (a collection of pots, in the third photo) and they are growing at an amazing rate. It is so nice to pick our own herbs, this makes the dinner we are cooking so much more tasty.

Hope you all had a great weekend.
