My never ending quest

Back in July and August last year, I did a few hair posts (here and here) explaining how I was wishing and willing for my short hair to grow back. Even though I don't think my hair has grown much (or to the speed I would want it to), I have been receiving comments on the length and how fast it seems to be growing (I think they are just being nice).

My hair is now past my shoulders; I do seem to have a long neck, during the stage between my chin and shoulders did take forever, and it still has a long way to go. I have made one change though; after having long blonde locks (as shown in my photo to the side), I did then cut my hair to ear lobe length and changed my blonde hair to red (big change). I have since then dyed my hair brown (the red is still showing through) with the hope to go blonde again.

So, to sum up this post, I want my hair to be like it was in 2009!!! If only I knew then what I know now - would I still of cut and dyed it?

The above photos are inspiring me and I am willing and wishing for my hair to look as good as the blondes above.

Happiness

Nothing beats the feeling of when the sun is shining and everyone has a smile on their face, and for February that is a big achievement

Today has been such a lovely day that I am now fully ready for the Summer months. To enjoy the weather I sat in a lovely country pub, where I took in the views and ate some very yummy food.

No doubt, next week we will all be wrapped up warm again in big cosy jumpers.

Chanel - Shade Parade

While catching up on some missed TV from the week, I had to stop and pause when I saw the below advert. What a great idea to advertise a nail polish and a perfect way to show off the great colours.

What girl isn't a fan of the wonderful nail colours from Chanel and if it makes my fingers dance, I can't resist!

Poorly Lola

I haven't updated my blog for a number of days and the time has flown by, but not in a good way. The time has been filled with worry, stress and tears.

I won't go into lots of detail, but I thought I would share the reason behind my absence.

Last week, in the evening, Lola (my eight month old kitten) had an accident in our home. It was the most horrific and the most useless I have ever felt. Chris and I went into a state of over drive and worked together to do what we needed to do and organise ourselves to get her off to the vets. Long story short, Lola needed emergency surgery which involved removing two of her toes on her front left paw.

It is amazing how much she has adapted to hopping around on her good three legs and she has been a gem at taking all of her medication, but unfortunately, has to wear the Lady Gaga inspired lamp shade around her head that she isn't too keen on.

Lola has been back to the vets today to have her stitches looked at and to see how everything is healing. She is now on the full road to recovery.

Kristen Bell's Sloth Meltdown

Ever since I was a child, my biggest love has been Sloth's. I am head over heels crazy about them and think they are so adorable. I know they are not to everyone's taste, but someone has to love them. When I was about eight years old, I won a poetry contest that was based on a life of a Sloth. Yes I am slightly obsessed and that might be where my obsession grew.

One of my dreams, a tick box on my bucket list, is to visit the Sloth sanctuary in Costa Rica. To be hands on, make a difference and just be close up to the animals that I love.

So, when I came across this 'You Tube' video, that has the title 'Kristen Bell's Sloth Meltdown' on Ellen, I had to watch and I loved it. I laughed so much I cried! I am also a tiny bit jealous that she got to meet a Sloth, but I love her reaction.
