Little balls of fluff...

When our friends asked if we wanted to go and see their new puppy (Mya) and with the promise of seeing lots more, I couldn't turn them down.

Mya

These German Shepard puppies are adorable and were so friendly, Mya is from a breeder and we got to meet her mum and dad, who were friendly, welcoming and BIG!

Mya

I couldn't help but take some photos to share. I had to really hold back from getting one ourselves.... Bambi and Lola wouldn't be happy.

Four day weekend - Part Two

To follow on from Part One, here are the remaining images from my four day weekend.

In my last post I mentioned that we took part in some activities. For the first day we paired up and tried our hand at Sea Kayaking, the idea of this, left me feeling nervous and a little anxious. I didn't know what to expect and didn't fancy getting wet.

We had an amazing time and even got wet! It was a beautiful day to be out on the water and to see in caves that you wouldn't be able to get to on foot and the sea was so calm. We spent about two hours in the sea and I would love to do it again. They do say you should try everything at least once! That is now ticked off my list.

The second day, we had an archery lesson. I remember this was one of the activities we did on an adventure week at Secondary school, but couldn't remember anything from it. I can assure you I am not  the next Katniss Everdean! But it was good fun and brought out everyones competitive side.

In addition to the activities we went on some costal walks and wondered round some sleepy villages  Where we went Sea Kayaking is where 'Doc Martin' is filmed.

Cornwall really is a magical place.

Four day weekend - Part One

Last Friday, I packed my bags and headed to Cornwall for one of my friends 30th Birthday get away. There were a fair few of us in total, where we rented a cottage and had lots of activities planned.

I was great to just get away, spend time with friends and to relax. We were so lucky with the weather, which stayed nice, sunny and warm and it was a shame when we had to leave.

I love Cornwall and can't wait to go back...

Drive time music

I've been at my new job now, for three weeks and I am really enjoying it. It is great to have a change of scenery, meet new people and learn new things.

The biggest change of all, has been the drive too and from work. In my last job, Chris and I worked together, we would normally drive the 20 minutes in together and spend that time talking about what our day had in store or a recap of what had happened. It was a great time to blow off some steam before walking through the front door.

But, I'm now alone in the car with about an hour each way all to myself and I have found myself listening to the radio and enjoying it.

I especially like it when I hear a new song (or it might of been out for a while, in my case), the radio station gives it a lot of air time and I find myself enjoying it and looking forward to the next time it is played.

I thought I would share a few of these each week, to see what is out there and how much music is changing as well as being able to watch the video, that joins the final dots and gives a deeper meaning to the song.

Let me know what you think, or what you are enjoying.

The videos below (in order) are:

Muse - Madness
Kodaline - All I Want
Angel Haze - New York

Its been a while...

The past month has flown by and I really don't know where the time has gone! Even though a lot has happened, unfortunately the blog has taken a back seat.

So, an update.... I handed in my notice at the Company where I had spent the past three years working hard but knew it wasn't right for me. The people were great but it wasn't what I wanted to do. I had to be true to myself and put myself first.

When a new and exciting opportunity came a knocking, I couldn't say no. After working my notice and saying goodbye, I had a few days to chill out before starting the new venture. I have been in my new job for near two weeks and so far so good... There is a lot of new information to take in and my head feels like it can't take much more, but I will no doubt get there in the end.

An added bonus is that I have a nice long weekend planned with some friends. We have hired out a cottage in Cornwall to chill out, eat, drink and take part in some fun activities. I will be sure to blog about it on my return.

The photos are from the view from the house and flowers that work gave me on my last day. These and more can be found on Instagram (thekeypieces).
