I need to jump back on to the wagon

One of my promises this year (this one started in March) was to improve my fitness and heath, you can read about it here or click the 'fitness' header at the top of the page.

It all started off well, but the month of May was a busy one, it involved very long hours in the office and my motivation went down hill. I wanted to stay in bed for as long as possible in the mornings and by the time I got home of an evening all I had time for was for some food and bed.

I then lost my rhythm, my holiday arrived (in June) which included a lot of relaxing and chilling out, so by the time I returned I had completely fallen off of the wagon. I have't been to the gym for three months, I was running a maximum of two times a month and was on the 'see food' diet, I see it, I eat it.

Change is needed and I need to catch up to this wagon (if it is going at a snails pace) and jump (a little jump) back on. To help me along my way and a post I am going to refer to a lot plus this past post I put together.

Weekly Wish List - Topshop edit

I have a bit of a love/like relationship (hate is too strong a word) with Topshop, there can be pieces that I fall head over heels with, mainly online, then I see the item in real life and it isn't quiet the quality I had in my head it would be and for the price I've paid is it really worth it? But other times I am over joyed and end up wearing the piece for years to come and it becomes a staple in my wardrobe.

After looking through Topshop's website the other day, I have mentally bought so many items, my second 'Weekly Wish List' had to be a Topshop edit.

1. Stripe Jaquard Skater Dress - £46.00
I love the shape of this dress, it is a great length for summer and great from day to night.

2. Nails in Parma Violet - £5.00
While the sun is shining I am trying my hardest to wear bright/light colours on my nails and I love this colour.

3. Bird print Kimono - £55.00
I love the print on this kimono, to throw this on top of a simple cami and jeans would look great, and you wouldn't need many accessories either, the kimono does it all.

4. Mixed Mesh Bra and Mini - £22.00
To add a bit of 'oh la la' to the post. This is easy, I love the colour and style of this set.

5. Heather Flower Garland - £14.00
Flower garland;s are BIG this summer, normally seen on young girls (made with their own fair hands) and older girls at festivals, but this year they are everywhere and this one will be making its way into my basket.

Are they any items that you have been loving this week? Do you like any of the items above? Let me know in the comments section.

Weekly Wish List

A new feature to 'The Key Pieces' is my weekly wish list. A few items that have caught my eye in the world wide web and I now need them in my life.

1. Miss Selfridge: Mono printed trousers - £35.00
I am loving loose (thin material) fitting trousers that go in at the ankles, no baggy linen trousers for me this summer. They are smart enough for work, casual enough for socialising and keep me cool in the heat wave we seem to be having at the moment. These trousers fit the bill and I really like the patten.

2. Amazon: Fifty Shades of Kale - £13.30
Towards the end of last year I started to eat more Kale and with a title that is very simular to the extremely popular book, who am I to say no? I can't wait to get my hands on this book and be inspired to try the many more ways to enjoy Kale.

3. Alex Monroe: Baby Bee Necklace, silver - £114.00
From a young age I have had a fasanation with bee's, I would spend hours in the garden watching them dance from flower to flower until they had collected enough pollen to take back to their hive. That interest has followed me into my adult years and I believe it is so important to protect the bee's that visit our gardens and local area. To find out more, click here.

4. NARS: Kuala Lumpur, duo eyeshadow - £25.00
This duo makes me think summer. The 'Rose Gold' and 'Boysendberry infused with Gold' would look great on their own or mixed together to add more depth and dramatic evening look.

5. Topshop: Whippie, wedges - £45.00
I love these wedges and need them in my life! I have had my current wedges for years and love them (I think they were from 'Faith'), but the time has come, that I need to part from them, they are looking worn and old, the straps won't last much longer and they need to go into retirement. So, my heart skipped a beat when I saw these on the Topshop website, They are perfect and I just have to have them (we have all had those moments) but low and behold.... they are sold out in size 3! The story of my life, the curse of having small feet! The shoes I fall in love with (it happens more often than not) are never destined to be mine, because of my small feet! I'll spend the next X amount of time, clicking refresh and checking the stock in my local store. They will be mine.... Please make this happen Topshop!
